Knowledge/Why RankingIQ
Why RankingIQ
The short version
Semrush and Ahrefs are excellent professional toolkits, and an agency will do the work for you. RankingIQ does one job for someone who runs a business rather than a website: it tells you the next few changes to make, on which page, in simple words you can paste in, and tracks whether they worked.

The tools are good. They are built for someone else.
Nothing here is a criticism of Semrush or Ahrefs. They do a great deal, they do it well, and both now offer recommendations alongside their data. But they are built for people whose job is search marketing, and it shows: the advice arrives inside a platform of hundreds of checks, written in the vocabulary of the trade. A plumber, an accountant or a shop owner does not need a hundred and forty checks. They need to know the three changes that will make the most difference, and which page each one goes on.
Advice you can act on in one sitting
Every piece of advice RankingIQ gives names the page by its address, quotes what is on it now, and gives you the wording to use instead, along with the reason, drawn from the pages Google is currently ranking above yours. Where none of your pages could ever win a search, it tells you what page to build and what it needs to cover. It is written to be done in an afternoon, by you or by whoever looks after your website.
Knowing whether it worked
Google usually takes two to six weeks to react to a change, which is long enough to forget what you changed and when. When you mark a piece of advice as done, RankingIQ records the change and the date, and compares every search that page ranks for before and after, whether or not it was the search the advice was aimed at. Over a few months, that record is how you find out which kinds of change actually move your business, rather than guessing.
When something else is the better choice
If search marketing is your job, or you want to research keywords, study backlinks and audit every corner of a large site, Semrush or Ahrefs will serve you far better than this. If you are competing nationally for valuable searches and would rather pay someone to do the work than do it yourself, a good agency is the right answer, and a good one earns its fee. RankingIQ is for everyone between: the business whose website should be bringing in customers and is not, who wants to know exactly what to change, and whether it made a difference.
