How it works

Give us your website address. From it, we work out what your business does, find the searches your customers actually type, and start checking where you show up for them on Google, every night. Within a couple of days, you have a short list of specific changes to make on your website, and from the day you make one, we watch what happens next and show you.

01

We read your website

On the day you sign up, we read your site the way a careful visitor would, work out what you do and where you do it, and suggest the searches worth watching, written the way customers type them. Not industry terms.

You stay in charge of the list. Add the searches you care about, remove any we got wrong, and name the competitors you want measured against. Most people confirm it in a few minutes and never think about it again.

We check where you stand

Every night, while you are asleep, we check your position on Google for every search on your list. Measured, not estimated: we look at the same results page your customers see and record where you appear, or that you do not.

One position on one day tells you very little, which is why the checking never stops, and everything we show you is built on that nightly record. We only ever raise something with you when it has held long enough to mean something.

03

We tell you what to change

Every couple of days, you can ask for your list of fixes. Each one is specific enough to act on in one sitting: which page, what it says now, what it should say instead, and why, naming the competitors above you and what their pages do that yours does not.

Sometimes the honest answer is that no page of yours can win a search, because you do not have one. Then we tell you what to build instead: what kind of page, where it should live, and the specific things it has to cover, taken from the pages currently winning.

We prove whether it worked

This is the part rank trackers leave out, and it is the reason RankingIQ exists. When you make a change, you tick it off with the date, and from that day your position on the searches it affects is compared against where you stood when you acted. Not a report about effort. A record of results.

We are honest about the timing. Google usually takes two to six weeks to react to a change, sometimes longer. A silent fortnight after you fix something is normal, and because the checking is nightly, the answer arrives without you asking for it. If a search slips instead of climbing, you see that too. A record that only showed the good news would not be worth keeping.

One score, four ingredients

Everything above rolls into one number out of 100, so a glance tells you the direction of travel.

Where you rank

How much you appear for

Against your competitors

How your pages are built

The number is honest about what it can see: name no competitors, and that part is left out of the total rather than scored as zero. The score is not the point. The searches, the fixes, and the record underneath it are the product.

Who this is not for

If you retain a good SEO agency and you rate what they do, keep them. An agency that researches, writes and builds for you every month is doing more than this tool does, and charging accordingly. RankingIQ is for everyone who cannot justify that: the businesses paying a web agency to build and host a site nobody is watching, and the ones doing it all themselves. We watch what Google does with your website, and tell you what to change. You, or whoever builds your site, makes the changes.

We use it ourselves

RankingIQ watches the website of its own sister product, CompanyIQ, and every change we make there goes through the same loop we sell: listed as a fix, made, ticked off with its date, and measured nightly since. That record is real and growing, and as the results land, we will publish them here, the falls along with the rises.

Setup is one address and a few minutes of confirming searches.
